I love first look sessions, some couples agree while others simply do not want to see one another before their special day. Recently one of our couples who will be getting married next month called us and asked if they could do the first look several weeks before their wedding. Of course we were so delighted, we hopped down to Virginia and rocked the session.
I love all my couples and both the first-lookers and the non- first-lookers but you know the ones dearest to our hearts are the couples who decide to take their pictures way before hand. A first look session simply involves the bride and groom taking pictures in their wedding attire before the ceremony.
This option is beneficial to both the photographer and the couple, because it enables us relax on your wedding day, knowing we have no time constraints and also the pressure of finding the perfect location, the perfect smiles and the perfect attitudes is off.
I say this because most weddings simply do not run as planned, there is always one hitch or the other, and the double duty of making the bride relax falls on us and the groom. I love my brides and I say if you would do a first look, I would definitely love you more.
