My mother said never to talk to strangers, she insisted repeatedly every time I got ready to leave the house, her mantra always is, ” Fola, do not talk to people you do not know, also be alert and tuck your purse under your arm when walking”. Well mommy I am sorry I broke one rule. One day last year I met a beautiful stranger on a china town bus, we started a conversation about rings, love and wedding plans. She had plans to move from NY to VA to be with her love whilst I had plans to be with mine in MD. One thing led to another and we exchanged emails, numbers and added one another on facebook.
Ten months later, I received an email from my stranger turned facebook friend, she requested our services for her wedding but first insisted she treat us to dinner, all home cooked. You see my friend is Thai and her amazing cooking conjures up happy and fuzzy feelings while leaving you delirious with joy. DH and I went over with empty bellies and Cf cards, and we returned with our bellies full, our hearts warm and our CF cards filled with images of love, laughter and food.

This is JJ, a stranger who became a friend and who has treated DH and I to the best homecooked meal ever. She is also available to cater for weddings, parties and other special occasions.

This is JJ with Paully, her supportive and loving better half. DH and I fell in love not just with their food but also with their personality and charm. We truly cannot wait to photograph their wedding this summer.
Full blog post of their beautiful session is coming soon.

On the menu was a six course meal, starting with sweet navel oranges, delicious hot tom yum soup, crisp vegetable spring rolls, succulent coconut shrimp, awe-inducing drunken noodles and my absolute favorite fried vanilla ice cream.
