As a kid, I was surrounded by furry friends, you know the four legged type with wet noses who squat to pee. As an adult I have missed them in my life, growing up looking at other dogs wishing they were mine, watching them roll over, sit and shake on command, looking at people blog about their dogs wishing I had one too.
Last year at a client’s house in NY, her little girls ran around and played , suddenly the older one stood and shouted, “Amukha, stop that” to the younger one, puzzled DH and I turned to one another then asked their mom what Amukha meant, when she replied we fell in love with the name and decided if we ever owned a dog to name him just that – Amukha.
Recently DH and I got ourselves a little ball of warmth, energy and love, we got ourselves a puppy. We had decided on his name – Amukha- even before he came into our lives, Amukha simply means thumb sucker, well he does not suck his thumb but he sure is a big baby.
