When we started the Free Wedding Photography contest, we had no idea what to expect, part of the rules suggested the couple must be deserving and so we were beyond elated when all the entries from all over the United States were from very deserving and charming couples – the entries were so poignant, creative, and beautiful. One of the entries stood out from the rest it was from Kaila and Joey, a couple who reside in Miami, Florida. We know what you are thinking, who won’t want to shoot a wedding in Miami, but seriously, read Kaila’s entry below and know that she deserved to win a 1000 times over. Fola, I am nominating me and my fiance for your 2010 wedding giveaway package. When I think of the reasons me and Joey deserve this package, I immediately think of all the reasons we are together. Mainly, the love we have for each other and our family. I remember in the beginning of our relationship, I was so hesitant about getting really serious with a guy following the death of my ex-boyfriend. However, I knew that once I opened up to Joey about my childhood sexual abuse, and he was so compassionate and understanding in how I perceived relationships and men in general, I knew he was a keeper. In the past other guys would shy away when I had intimacy issues, not even trying to figure out the bigger picture at hand. But he loves me unconditionally, flaws and all. When I came home from work earlier this year and found him sitting on our staircase with the ring box, I felt like God had finally allowed me to experience lifelong joy in my heart. Now every story should have a happy ending, but of course our story is very unconventional, so when my routine visit to my doctor revealed that it may difficult or even impossible for us to concieve, I knew I had to believe in God’s love for us, to know it will all work, just like our wedding day on 7-10-10. We are getting married 7-10-10 in Miami, Fl my hometown with a beach ceremony and reception @ The Ronald Shane Center. We would love to have the gift of wedding photos to show our kids and send to Joey’s 90 yr old grandmother whom can’t travel from Honduras for the ceremony. Thank you for reading our story.
