Jessica Claire’s OC Workshop

Jessica Claire is a California based wedding photographer whose work I truly admire, she is particularly famous for use of the sun’s light, she is a whiz in lighting her images with the sun’s rays, a skill she has cultivated over the years. Every time she blogs, I drool over my screen at the sight of her gorgeous images. When I read on facebook that she was hosting a workshop, I applied immediately for a chance to learn at the knee of one of the world’s best photographers. Unfortunately the workshop sold out in less than two hours, disappointed I complained to my DH Aba, who proceeded to email Jessica Claire with my email address begging her to take me, promising to assist her in cleaning, sweeping and other fun stuff.

Amazingly Jessica Claire responded, she had decided to open up another day for the workshop and asked that if I was interested to register ASAP. I totally did, excited and elated I packed my things and headed to California. The beauty of California is a story for another blog post. I got to the workshop and met such awesome and talented photographers who came from all over the United States.

The workshop itself was amazing and totally worth the investment, Jessica made us feel comfortable with ourselves, one another and our cameras. She totally helped me overcome my fear of harsh sunlight, teaching us instead how to expose in another to get dreamy images. Here are some of the images from the workshop with more coming soon.
