Jen + Chris : Engaged

Jen first met Chris through a mutual friend during their junior year at college, they had noticed each other at parties thrown by their friends. Things got interesting when Jen moved into a shared apartment with their mutual friend, Chris began to visit the apartment frequently to borrow sugar, offer to water the plants all in a bid to get to know Jen- he thought she was a was a real bookworm because she seemed to be endlessly studying for the CPA (but he was extremely proud of her when she passed!) – while Jen thought that Chris was a nice guy but an abysmal dresser (a fact that is still disputed today).  They kept denying the chemistry between them whilst finding excuses to hang together – but eventually it was unmistakable they had fallen for one another.

They had been dating for a year of dating, when they decided to go away for a weekend to celebrate their anniversary to view beautiful mountain landscapes, climb through caves, and yes they did get trapped in a corn maze with no escape in 100 degree weather – but they survived the corn maze . For their second year anniversary, life happened-new jobs, new apartments and a fabulous puppy named Maura- so they were unable to get away as planned.Ergo, Chris decided to surprise Jen by taking her away for a weekend in November. 

The weekend they went away, Chris was able to make a reservation for a really nice suite at an Irish-themed bed and breakfast, which had a balcony with a great view of the mountains. The next day they grabbed an early lunch while watching raindrops patter on the sidewalks, after they were finished Chris asked Jen if she’d like to do the mountain drive, she eagerly accepted. Before they got to the park entrance, they saw a gorgeous rainbow beautify the whole sky, as they oohed and ahhed over it, another rainbow appeared, mystified, they could only marvel at God’s wonders. As they approached the park entrance the rain stopped miraculously, and they literally saw two MORE rainbows. Now Jen had seen a few rainbows in her life, but four different ones in one day was something out of a fairy tale.  As they drove on they approached an overlook with a magnificent view – Chris, who had the ring in his pocket and shaking hands asked Jen, the one woman who makes him complete to be his wife, happily she said yes.
