Children are like a box of chocolates, some sweet, some plain, some naughty. Innocent, adorable, playful, amazing, energetic, naughty, curious are a few of the adjectives one might coin to describe a child, equally their parents may be described as loving, caring, tolerant, selfless, determined, hardworking.
When Mikel was born, Jumoke and Tunde remained all of those descriptions, but they learnt to describe Mikel as a reflection of all the mentioned adjectives and then some. Their love has waxed stronger, and protective, together they have formed a family.
A verse in Psalms reads “behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward”. Jumoke and Tunde celebrated their reward, Mikel when he turned one, with a party which I must say was well attended, I got a couple of cute head shots of the kids, you might spot my man Aba in the slideshow too.
